With one clear vision to become a single source for supply, service and consultancy for the sheet metal industry in India, the Founder Chairman of Magal Group of Companies, Mr M K Narasinga Rao, started Magal Engineering Company in 1992.

Over the years, Magal Engineering Company represented many large overseas manufacturers in India and successfully built a respectable clientele based on principles of technological proficiency, honest dealings and conscientious customer service.

Because of its technical expertise and insight, MEC further succeeded in establishing a strong rapport with its principals and customers in various manufacturing categories. The expertise automatically equipped MEC to fulfil the needs of its customers across the manufacturing spectrum - from sheet metal working, to metal forming, to metal finishing machinery.

By joining hands with LVD Company nv [Belgium] in August - 2008 and forming a new JV Company - Magal LVD India P Ltd, the Magal Group heralded a new era in the Indian sheet metal industry.

Today, Magal has firmly established itself as a Premier One Source Company for Supply, Service and Consultancy of sheet metal working machines, metal cutting or forming machines and metal processing or finishing equipment and tooling for punch presses and press brakes in India. The Group’s capabilities is evident from its long list of customers, across various industry sectors like Control Panel & Precision Sheet Metal, Automotive, Earth Moving Machinery, Consumer Durable, Textile, Food Processing, Machine Tools & Material Handling.
